Performance of a simple candle spell is one of many teachings to learn at the Hearthfire of an Elder Witch.

This spell teaches us in a poetic way the technique of casting a simple spell using a white candle and a simple tree-thorn and performed on a Monday during the Waxing Moon. It is also best to look at the Moon in signs as well in order to see the astrological effects the Moon is being highlighted by. A good guide for this would be The Magic Candle by Charmaine Dey.

You must also be sure to use the proper occult oil to anoint this candle that corresponds with your wish. I have written about the Sacred Oils and Holy Oils before and how they become the fluid condensers of thought-power in order to affect the Astral Grey area.
