Cold Air?

Why do you think that the air is said to be colder when the presence of a ghost or a shade of the dead is present?

The most popular theory on this phenomena seems to be that in order for spirits to manifest in our physical plane is that it takes a great amount (or singular burst) of power or energy for them to do so and that warm air contains faster-moving energy than cold air.  So we are told in this theory that ghosts must gather their strength from the warm air around us, thereby leaving the air where they are present colder.

Digital thermometers seem to be a tool of the trade in ghost-hunting to look for these cold spots or any other major temperature fluctuations.

So what do you think?  Is major or significant temperature shifts a sign that a ghostly presence is nearby or doesn’t it matter?

Do you believe this or have a different theory?
